About Didwell

Hidden down a farm track just behind the picturesque village of South Milton, in the heart of the South Hams, Didwell Farm campsite is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature whilst soaking in the views down through the valley towards the sea at Thurlestone.

Part of a working mixed livestock farm, Didwell Farm is a small family-friendly site with spacious grass pitches offering a tranquil, relaxed rural setting for back-to-basics camping.

Nearby

Didwell is only a mile away from the attractive village of Thurlestone, which boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub serving delicious food, a post office and village a shop, along with The Thurlestone Hotel offering a range of spa facilities.

Its glorious sandy beach, which joins up with South Milton Sands, is popular with both beach-goers and water sports enthusiasts.

The fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path with two smaller beaches and several places to eat and drink.Other beaches worth exploring include Soar Mill Cove, Bantham, Bigbury and Yarmer, all of which can be explored whilst meandering along South West Coast Path with many others slightly further afield.

If you fancy a day away from the sandy shores, why not venture over to the nearby charming market town of Kingsbridge where you can find local shops, bars selling craft beer, and a recently renovated leisure centre, or head to the renowned boating centre of Salcombe with its narrow winding streets, boutique shops and abundance of places to eat and drink, just a 10-minute drive away.

Be dazzled by the breathtaking scenery found in the South Hams, a peaceful area where you can walk along the scenic cliff top and moorlands paths, visit unique villages, and savour the local delicacies.
